His name is Daniel. He is 21 years old. And he's asleep... At least he believes himself to be asleep. Why else would his world be full of hate? Cast: Daniel Lappert, Sean McGee, Krissy Ober, Caleb Alexander, Tyler Hutchison, Drunk Extras Direction, Writing, Cinematography, Lighting, Editing and Music by Daniel Becerra Special Thanks: Kyle Parker, Hector Jimenez, Terry Patton, Gavriel Moses, Aurite Kouts, Kathleen Miles, Neda Kharrazi, Hillary Hutchison, Tyler Hutchison, Yujiro Seki, Meredith Slater, Rachel Burnett Equipment: (Camera) Sony HDR-FX1, (Sound) Audio-Technica 897 w/ BeachTech XLR Adapter, (Software) Adobe Premiere Pro w/ Magic Bullet, (Ambient Music) Nintendo DS w/ Electroplankton Additional Info: My second short film that I made as an undergrad at UC Berkeley. This was originally started as a short story that I wrote back in high school as a study psychopathy, which I've always found interesting. When presented with the need to make my first short film, I wrote two screenplays one for my first short film "Far From Close" and this one as a back-up thinking that it would be easier than "Far From Close." Little did I know... Making this film was a nightmare on so many levels. From having to secure a location for the party scene, dealing with public tennis courts, recording narration and dealing with a hard drive crash. I literally finished this film at the last minute; I handed it in about 7 minutes before it had to be screened. I was still filming some footage the day it had to be screened. I even thought I would not actually graduate as a result of this because I had so much trouble securing a location for the party scene. Even now, there are still some sound issues and the party scene is nothing like it should be (due to only having 5 hours at the location), but at this point I just sorta let the film R.I.P.
