Pennsylvania's gubernatorial candidates came together on April 19th to discuss how the Commonwealth can best meet the needs of workers and businesses in the post-recession economy. Candidates laid out their plans for moving low-wage workers into career pathways, for ensuring that Pennsylvania youth are work and college ready, and for competitively positioning Pennsylvania businesses for the new economy. Over 500 citizens participated in the event. The forum was sponsored by the Job Opportunity Investment Network (JOIN), in partnership with the CEO Council for Growth, the Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition, the Philadelphia Academies, the Philadelphia Workforce Investment Board, the Philadelphia Youth Network, and the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
