Meet Harold Blatch, a lonely guy who lacks the communicative skills needed to deal with society.His brother Sylvester is sarcastic and domineering. In his spare time, Harold does weird hobbies to make up for his deficiencies. One day when his frustrated and bored psychologist gives him the task of giving friendly gestures to ten different strangers and get their signatures, Harold eagerly embarks on this task, unaware of the strange events that would result.
