In Summer 2010 I attended the Kendal AFA Pro course. For 8 days I and 6 others were drilled in every element of outdoor film production by expert team Brian Hall, Keith Partridge, Richard Else and their colleagues (Touching the void / Top Gear climbing challenge / The Great Climb live etc).
Towards the end we were given the challenge to plan, shoot and edit a short outdoor piece.
We opted to make a 'webisode' style short about what to do in Kendal, using the subject of canyoning....
On day one I was tasked with directing the day, with our team having access to 2 main cameras, 2 mini-cameras, radio mic kit, boom mic kit, a jib and climbing gear.... oh and of course our 'talent'... Mike and Tom.
On day two we were split into 2 groups with access to the same material. I did the initial rough cut for our piece with our team throwing in thoughts and then finishing the fine cut. Starting at 10.30am it had to be finished and played out by 4pm.
This is the piece that we created....
I had heard of a new pen in the market for capacitive screens, such as the apple ipad/iphone and itouch. I had been using the pogo for everything but was up to try something new. A friend mentioned the DAGI stylus which odd enough works better than the pogo. It seems to be more precise and easier to hold. It takes some getting used to as it is a bit weird, but it seems more responsive than the pogo all around. Here is a quick review of the DAGI. If you have any questions just ask. I got the DAGI stylus via ebay.

Since we propably play it with the band www.myspace.com I decided to record it. But it is the live version. as IF showed it on Metalkult: blogs.guitarworld.com So only two guitars: Left: Jesper, Right: Björn No synth, was too lazy for that. Don't miss it. I got the drumtrack from a good guitarpro file from ultimate-guitar.com. I didn't have to change it much. I had to cheat on the main riff, cause when I play it, a high string is sounding along and it sounds unclean. So for recording those parts I muted the string with some tape. Also sorry for the tapping in the solo, can't do that very well. Description: I first record the audio of the song, then film me playing the guitars and edit them together. And as you can see I am not a good video editor. Intro: The Beginning of "Sleepless again" from In Flames, recorded by me.
