Sports -- Usain Bolt is Fastest Man on Planet

Usain Bolt is now the fastest man on Earth. The 21 year-old Jamaican dusted the field at the Reebox Grand Prix in 9.72 seconds. [Usain Bolt, World Record Holder 100 meters]: "I got out well. I've been working on my start for a while and I think I did pretty well today in my start so, I did pretty well so I'm just happy with myself, my transition was good, my last run was beautiful, so I'm happy with my performance today." Now Bolt is eyeing Olympic gold. [Usain Bolt, World Record Holder 100metres]: "I don't think there's any comparison between those two. You got to be Olympic Champion or World Champion or something to really count because if tomorrow somebody comes and runs faster than me I'm no longer the fastest man in the world so if you're Olympic champion then they got to wait four more years to get you again, so I think the Olympics is the biggest thing so I'm just looking for that, definitely." Normally a 200 meter specialist, Bolt was challenged by his coach to work on the shorter distance to improve his speed. Now, after nearly 70 years, polo returns to New York. Before the kick-off match between Black Watch and Skeeterville, team captains Argentine Nacho Figueras, and American Will Johnston rode horseback through Manhattan. [Nacho Figueras, Captain Black Watch Polo Team]: "Polo was a very big thing in the 30s and the 40s, and I think it was great idea for Veuve Clicquot, and St. Regis, and Asprey and Black Watch to put this match together. I think polo is a sport that has a lot to offer, and what's better than playing polo in New York with the New York skyline, and I think it's a promotion for the sport. " According to the North American Polo League, New York was the birthplace of polo in 1876.

Eye Spy A Planet Our Solar System

Please join us on Facebook for the latest science news and videos: tinyurl.com Hubble's Universe Unfiltered (Episode 7): Eye Spy A Planet (Part 1/2) - Our Solar System. Up until the 1990s, we only knew of the planets in our own solar system. Since then, we have discovered over 300 planets orbiting other stars (extrasolar planets, exoplanets). However, most of these planets were found when scientists observed the effect of the planet's gravity upon their host stars. Astronomers could not show the world what we wanted most: a visible light picture of a planet around a star like the Sun. That situation changed in November 2008 with a discovery by the Hubble Space Telescope. Join us for the story that begins a new era in our knowledge of planetary systems. --- Please subscribe to Science & Reason: • www.youtube.com • www.youtube.com • www.youtube.com • www.youtube.com --- Hubble press release: Hubble Directly Observes Planet Orbiting Fomalhaut hubblesite.org --- Notes - Note that Hubble's discovery of Fomalhaut b is billed as the "first visible-light snapshot of a planet orbiting another star." It is important to note that the first direct detection of a planet will likely turn out to be the planet known as 2M1207 b. However, the host, 2M1207, is not a full-fledged star, but a brown dwarf (see below). In addition, pictures of three planets around HR 8799, released the same day as the Fomalhaut discovery, were taken in the infrared. - Let me clarify about 2M1207. It has less ...
